I am a local purebred German Shepherd who was surrendered to Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue to find a forever home. I am a little over ten months old and will be a pretty big girl once I reach adulthood. I am very sweet and loving, but will need a family who has experience with the GSD breed to train me. I think I would like to live with another dog who can show me the ropes. My foster brother is a little guy, he moves really fast and makes me nervous so I just watch him from around he corner. He also keeps bringing me these things foster Mom calls dog toys but I don’t know what they are or what to do with them. I like being close to foster Dad and foster Mom let me sleep in bed with her on my first night. I didn’t think I’m allowed in the bed but she patted my head and rubbed my belly so I guess I am allowed. I was kind of nervous in this new place so it made me feel better to be close to her. She told me I have to go to the doctor and get a checkup and get surgery and then I can meet new people who will love me. Are you one of those people? Update: I went to the vet and got spayed. I am recovering at foster Moms house with lots of yummy treats to take my medicine in. Foster Mom said I have Lyme Disease and have to take the medicine twice a day for a few weeks and then have my blood rechecked. I did meet a kitty cat the other day. It really scared me and I didn't like it. I don't think I want to live with a kitty but we can talk about it if you have one. Update: I really like foster Mom. So much I just can’t control my excitement and sing to her every time she’s gets home. She says I’m really loud. I think she’s right because the neighbor lady called her to make sure I was ok.
