  • Location: Duncansville PA 16635
  • Microchipped: Yes

Baxter is a neutered, GSD mix. DOB: 12-12-14 Weighs 79 lbs Completely house trained. No food/treat/toy aggressions. Plays well with other dogs. Does not like cats or smaller animals such as squirrels/rabbits. Does not beg. Has allergies: does well on grain free dry dog food. Have him on Apoquel 16mg given as necessary & Pure Salmon soft gels 1000mg 3x a day. Loves to cuddle. Loves chew bones, stuffed kong, cow ears, chicken feet, & Best Bully sticks. Missing both left side canines and a top smaller tooth up front. Great around kids of all ages. Doesn't like loud yelling, he hides. Loves bathes and will jump in the tub without telling him. Must have a fenced in yard.

Must be GSD experienced. He is ALL shepherd. Learns very fast and too smart for his own good. He has been trained him to walk off leash, but wouldn't recommend it right away. Walks nicely on a leash. LOVES walks

He is the most lovable dog and loves his people. He needs that. He needs to know hes part of the family. He sleeps like a gentleman at night in his bed beside his 2 sisters. There has never been an issue with him until the foster leaves the house.

Special Needs: Baxter has severe separation anxiety.
He CANNOT be crated. He destroys them, hence his broken canines (1st owner). He urinates, destroys anything inside it, circles, pants, slobbers, and whines the entire time. He is currently on ACE 25 mg and it doesn't touch him. Prozac makes him worse per his original owners vet paperwork. He has ripped all screens trying to get to the foster outside. His original owner said he jumped out a second floor window and a bay window to get to her. He clears a tall baby gate (again, confined to him) but has not jumped over the foster's 4' fence when with the other dogs.He would do amazing with someone retired, wants a lovable but protective shepherd and who will not crate him. He thrives when hes not confined.
