Foxy Lady has had a lot of adventures in her short life! She came to SSR back in 2017 and was adopted out to a loving family. Sadly, her owner passed away and Foxy Lady found her way back to SSR. She is understandably going through an adjustment period as she tries to figure out where she is and who we are. Foxy Lady is incredibly sweet and loves people and older kids. She is a bit overweight and very strong, so she needs a strong handler (and a diet). She is a little anxious at the moment, which is understandable given her recent upheaval. She will need some patience as she settles into her new life. When she was first with SSR, Foxy Lady was a bit rambunctious but fine with other dogs. She doesn't appear to have spent much time with other dogs since then, and can be a bit reactive on the leash or at first meetings. She wants to play and roughhouse. But she will need careful introductions to other dogs since she is still remembering how to be a polite canine. Consistent training will help Foxy Lady feel more secure in her upside down world. She walks well on a leash, but needs reminders not to bark so much at other dogs she sees. She is a quick learner and with consistency, she will remember what it's like to live around other dogs and how to best behave. She is terribly sweet and loves to play with a ball. She also loves to chomp bees, and really wants to chase squirrels. She will likely enjoy chasing cats as well, but she has not been around a cat since she has come back to SSR. She will probably be able to jump over a 4' fence once she is at a healthy weight. Can you be the forever family for sweet Foxy Lady?
